Hey guys,

Since when I updated to High Sierra (I updated every bit before long equally it was released), I take been experiencing some lag (moving windows, browsing, minimizing windows) fifty-fifty when I only have Mail, Safari and Chrome open.

Very rarely I also see some graphic artifacts, which get away after a minute or so...

I have an EVGA GTX1080, the WebDriver are installed correctly and I should have graphic acceleration (I see UI transparency)

Kexts I currently have: AppleIntelE1000e, FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio, FakePCIID, FakeSMC_CPUSensors, FakeSMC, Lilu (latest), NvidiaGraphicsFixup

It is pretty annoying every bit this hackintosh is pretty new so I believe should take zero lag at all. :(

What could be wrong?

Aye this is a known issue and its a High Sierra issues.

Apple tree moved to Metallic ii for WindowServer and made a lot of changes under the hood. In that location's a few posts hither virtually that. This issue also happens on existent Macs that stilll use nVidia GPUs.

In that location's some type of retention leak. I hope it'southward fixed soon.

10.12.vi Sierra worked perfectly fine for me. I might get pissed and go back to that.

  • #3

Interesting.. Do you happen to have a link to those posts?

Lets hope they fix this soon because it is annoying AF.

Nobody ever uploads any logs or any other kind of information on these threads.

I have been experiencing some lag (moving windows

Code:

log stream --info --predicate "process contains 'WindowServer'"

Lawmaking:

log stream --info --predicate "process contains 'Safari'"

Hello guys,

I have aforementioned problem and bug on high Sierra 10.xiii.iii with Asus GTX 670
When I open safari, chrome or firefox, I have strong slowdowns, and the other windows of the finder also.
When I start with the intel Hd 630 graphics carte du jour built into my intel cadre i7 7700, everything is fluid and there is no such latency. I idea it was my gtx 670 that was non compatible with high sierra.
What is the solution to solve this problem?

  • #7

Howdy,
Finaly, I ended up returning to Sierra 10.12.6 and there everything is fluid again, fast, no latency. I wonder how did the people who installed loftier Sierra and who have no bug?

  • #eight

Experiencing the aforementioned affair. very frustrating.

  • #ix

And then is at that place any solution ?

Nobody ever uploads whatever logs or whatever other kind of information on these threads.

Code:

log stream --info --predicate "procedure contains 'WindowServer'"

Code:

log stream --info --predicate "process contains 'Safari'"

@vulgo

When I only close a Safari tab, it lags (among many other places of course) - Here'south my logs surrounding the action:

At that place seems to exist a 1.v-ii.0s delay that occurs between "purging tab snapshots" and the resulting "Removed Application"...
